I am a PhD student in Statistics at the University of Edinburgh. I am currently working on Monte Carlo methodologies, particularly Importance Sampling and Sequential Monte Carlo; however, I have broad interests including causality, experimental design, optimal transport , information theory.  My favourite “application” of a research project is advancing the understanding of a method/algorithm/framework.

I am very positive about ICBINB’s vision and mission: I hope that its values will shape the community’s attitude to research, and stimulate a much more diverse range of works that go beyond “outperforming SOTA”.
